Setting up Internet access on WIndows 7
Working Internet connection on your computer is must. This at least is used to update critical Windows security or device driver updates. Internet connection setting on Windows 7 not much different from the Windows XP and Windows vista. You only need to plug existing network into your computer.
1. Ethernet network that provides shared Internet access
Just plug in your computer and open the Internet Explorer to see whether it work. It’s the easiest way.
2. Wireless network available that provides Internet access
Turn on your wireless adapter. Usually appear a pop up notice if wireless networks are available. If the pop up notice doesn’t appear, just go to the Control Panel -> Network and Internet -> Network and Sharing Center. Add a wireless device in the network.
3. Broadband cable or DSL service
Just connect your computer’s network adapter to the modem now.
4. Cable Internet service
You only need do nothing. It already running. You only need to open Internet Explorer and start browsing.
5. Dial-up or DSL service
Click Start -> Control Panel -> Network and Internet -> Network and Sharing Center. Click Set Up a New Connection or Network. Select Connect to the Internet and click Next. Then follow the wizard to set up a PPPoE (DSL) or dial-up connection.
